The interests, needs, and ambitions of each learner are recognized, valued, and celebrated at Capital Village PCS.
Starting from an Individual Learning Plan, each learner works with his or her mentor to set short and long-term goals, check on progress weekly, and grow – academically, socially and emotionally.

Capital Village is an intentionally small middle school where the learning experience is co-designed with the family. An Individual Learning Plan, as well as information from families, previous academic data, and teacher recommendations, is used to design each student's schedule. At Capital Village, students can choose their path!

EL Education
LEARNOur courses teach rigorous, high-school preparatory content through student-led projects that blend Common Core standards with local social justice problems that students are empowered to design solutions for. Projects and other experiential activities foster important skills and knowledge while making learning fun and meaningful. We are an EL Education - we learn by doing.
Whole-Child Development
When students enjoy different activities at school and get all-around support, they grow to believe that all the doors in life are open to them. We know that a well-rounded education in a small village of caring teachers, community partners, families, and mentors provides our students with what they’ll need to be successful in whatever they pursue.
